The Bondi Cigars have been gigging round Sydney since late 1989, and while many acts from the blues / R&B circuit have since vanished, become historical footnotes or undergone major changes, the Cigars have continued on. And if that wasn't worthy of a rock'n'roll salute in itself, they have managed to survive without ever compromising their distinctive no nonsense style, only to become a leading force in Australian R&B.
