What are the Festival dates?
The Great Southern Blues Festival 2011 will be held over the NSW Labour Day long weekend - Friday 30th September, Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd October.
Where is the festival held?
The 2011 festival will be held at Mackay Park - Vesper Street, Batemans May on the NSW South Coast.
Mackay Park is centrally located within the town and within easy walking distance of the town centre.

When do tickets go on sale?
All ticketing details can be found in the Ticket Information section of this website.
I have bought tickets but haven't received them yet - where are they?
You have the option of having your tickets delievered in two different ways. When purchasing your tickets you can select a Print At Home Ticket. This means that an email will be sent to your selected email address with a PDF attachment. This PDF is your ticket, it has your details and a barcode. You need to print this attachemnt and bring it with you to the event. We will scan it and exchange it for a festival wristband at the main gate.
Alternatively you can select to have your ticket delievered to your home. They will arrive in the form of barcoded wristabands. Please note additional postage & handling fees apply. Wristabands will be distributed
What do I do about accommodation?
There are many types of accommodation in and around Batemans Bay and all will be in high demand over the festival weekend. We strongly recommend that you book your accommodation as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Does the festival have camping facilities?

What about the Grand Final matches?
Festival patrons will be able to watch the game on our big screen on site!
What is the situation with children attending the festival?
Children under the age of 18 years are welcome to come to the festival though please be aware that there are no specific provisions for them as it is primarily an adult event.
The one requirement we have for under-aged patrons is that they are in the care of a responsible adult ticket holder at all times. Please note that a 'responsible' must be a parent or guardian.
Festival staff will not allow children to enter or exit the event grounds unless they are in the care of a responsible adult.
Do you have facilities for the disabled?
The festival site has toilet facilities for the disabled that are easily accessible during event operating hours.
Is there seating at the festival?
Some people want seating and others don't so our solution has been to put some grandstand seating into our two bigger stage areas.
Feel free to bring a deck chair but please be advised that these chairs will not be allowed to be placed directly in front of the stages at any time during the weekend.
How many stages are there?
Great Southern Blues Festival will have 2 stages this year. Each of which are housed inside marquees to allow patron comfort in any weather condition.
Can we bring food and drink into the festival?
The festival offers a wide variety of food and drink however; you may bring in food and any type of drink with the exception of alcohol. Any food or drink carried onto the site must be in paper or plastic containers.
The festival is licensed and it is a condition of entry that no alcohol be brought onto or taken off the event site.
Please note:
- ESKIES will NOT be permitted onto the festival site
- NO GLASS will be permitted onto the festival site
- ALL contraband will be CONFISCATED and not returned
Will parking be available at the festival?
No parking is available at the festival site, however there is a 945-space public car park opposite Mackay Park located within the Village Centre Shopping Mall. Carpark entrances are located off Perry, Vesper and North Streets. Please click here for for more details.
Will local transport be available?
The festival is centrally located in Batemans Bay and as such, walking is a great option is getting to and from the festival. However, for those who would prefer something on wheels, there are a few options.
Further information regarding a shuttle bus service is still to come.

Can I bring my camera?
Yes you can bring your camera. Video cameras and recording devices are not permitted.
Can I bring my 4-legged friend?
No, no pets of any kind are permitted on the festival site. Even the Head of Public Relations, Bonnie the Gold Lab, does not attend the event - as much as we would love to have her there, it is not permitted.
Please note that accredited Service Dogs ARE permitted into the festival.
