EVENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Great Southern Blues Festival is promoted by Great Southern Festivals Pty Ltd (ABN 84 126 945 837) (“Promoter”).
Important Limits on Ticket Resale
Tickets are sold on the express condition that the holder is bound by the rules & regulations issued by the Promoter.
Tickets may not, without the prior written consent of the Promoter, be resold at a premium or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods and services. If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the bearer of the ticket will be refused admission.
Site Entry
Entry to Mackay Park (“Site”) is at your own risk and the right to refuse entry is reserved by the Promoter.
The services provided by the Promoter will be rendered with due care and skill to the extent required by applicable legislation. Apart from such statutory liability, the Promoter and the owner and or lessee of the venue will not be liable or responsible for any injury, damage or loss suffered or incurred by you or any person entering or when you enter or are on the Site whether caused by the negligence of the Promoter or that the owner of the Site or lessee or otherwise (or their respective employees or agents), whether arising in tort, contract, bailment or otherwise - all such injury loss or damage to person or property is at your own risk.
All patrons enter the Site at their own risk. The Promoter will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage suffered by any person entering the Site (including liability for any injury, loss or damage caused by the negligence of Mackay Park or its employees or agents). All patrons release Mackay Park (and their respective executive members, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors or agents) from any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury, death, economic loss or consequential loss for any default, failure or negligence (to the extent permitted by law) in relation to entry to and presence on the Site.
If you are collecting tickets at the box office, ID (valid driver’s license or Proof of Age card) must be shown.
Entry to the festival Site will be granted with presentation of a bar-coded wristband or print-at home ticket.
WRISTBAND Ticket: This wristband is your ticket to the event and will be sent to you by the preferred method of delivery in August 2011 (additional postage & handling fees apply). THIS WRISTBAND IS YOUR EVENT TICKET AND MUST REMAIN INTACT TO GAIN ENTRY TO THE FESTIVAL SITE. Your wristband must be worn at all times during the Festival – failure to do so may result in your eviction from the Site.
Tickets
Print-At-Home: An email will be sent to your selected email address with a PDF attachment. This PDF attachment is your ticket. It will list your details and a bar-code which will be scanned at the main gate of the event. DO NOT DELETE THIS EMAIL. You will need to print this PDF attachment and bring it with you to the festival. The PDF print-at-home ticket will be scanned at the gate and replaced with a festival wristband. THIS WRISTBAND MUST REMAIN INTACT AT ALL TIMES. Patrons without a festival wristband will be evicted from the Site.
Camping tickets are separate to the Great Southern Blues Festival event tickets. You will need two tickets; one to camp and one to gain entry to the festival. You will not be able to enter the camping area without being in possession of a valid WEEKEND festival ticket AND a valid camping ticket for each person. Patrons with a 1 day festival ticket will not be permitted to enter the camping site for any reason whatsoever. Patrons who have purchased a 1 (one) day festival ticket and a weekend camping ticket will not be permitted to enter the camping site at any time and no refunds will be given for Patrons who purchase a camping ticket together with a 1 day ticket.
No refunds or exchanges.
Replacement is not available for lost, destroyed or stolen tickets, unless proof of purchase is presented.
This ticket is strictly not for resale. Unlawful resale (or attempted unlawful resale) of a ticket is grounds for seizure or cancellation of that ticket without refund or other compensation and the Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or evict any persons found breaching this condition.
Ticket Delivery Methods
Please note: All tickets for the Great Southern Blues Festival 2011 will not be sent out until August 2011.
If you have selected the bar-coded WRISTBAND as your preferred ticket type please note the following delivery options:
Standard Post
If you have opted for your order to be sent via regular post, your order will be sent directly to the postal address you have provided. No refunds or exchanges will be issued for lost packages yet this is a secure delivery.
Registered Post
If you have opted for your order to be sent via Registered Post, your order will require a signature for delivery. No refunds or exchanges will be issued for lost packages yet this is a secure delivery.
Box Office Collection
All tickets purchased within10 working days of the event will not be posted out, but available for Box Office collection. If your order is for Box Office collection, your name will be left on the door list. No refunds will be processed for any tickets left unclaimed at the box office.
Note: additional postage & handling fees apply.
The cardholder whose name the tickets were purchased under must have valid picture identification when showing up at the event to be granted admission. No refunds will be processed for patrons who do not have valid identification and are denied entry. This means that if you order 5 tickets, ALL 5 PEOPLE MUST SHOW UP WITH YOU AT TIME OF ENTRY.

Children's Tickets
- Children 3 years and under are free.
- Junior tickets are from age 4 until age 14 inclusive.
- Adult tickets are sold to persons aged 15 years and older.
- Children's tickets are sold on the age of the child at the time of the festival, not at the time of purchase.
- Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
- Children will be required to present a proof of age card.

Changes to Artist Festival Line-Up or Venue
The Promoter reserves the right to change the festival line-up or venue without prior notification. No refunds will be available in the event of a change of line-up, relocation, or poor weather. If a refund is made by the Promoter the patron will receive a full refund of the ticket price and of the industry imposed ticket charges. The Promoter will endeavour to provide the refund within 5 business days. Request for refunds must be made within 4 weeks of the cancellation of the festival. The Promoter is not liable for any damage, compensation, loss or expenses as a result of the event being cancelled, postponed, relocated or changed for whatever reason.
Site Restrictions
Ticketholders acknowledge that there may be restricted capacities at some of the Festival’s stages/venues. Once the maximum capacity is reached in these areas there will be no further admissions. Your purchase of a ticket to the Festival does not guarantee admission to these areas in such cases.
Venues and stages on and within the Site may operate a “No Smoking” policy. Ticketholders must comply with any such policies.
Audio or visual recordings of the event are prohibited. Still cameras (not professional) are permitted but images may only be used for private purposes and not public display. Patrons offer consent to be included in film and sound recordings of the event and for these recordings to be used by the Promoter and the venue owner event organiser.
It may be a condition of entry to the event that a search of person and/or their possessions be required at the time of entry to the venue.
No animals admitted (excluding working dogs such as guide dogs and police/emergency service dogs).
You must ensure that you and your invitees act in an orderly manner when attending the event. We may refuse entry or evict you or any of your invitees if they are behaving in a disorderly, offensive or inappropriate manner.
Alcohol and Prohibited Substances
You must follow the reasonable directions of Festival staff as required. Failure to follow the reasonable directions of Festival staff could result in eviction from the Site.
Footwear must be worn at all times on the site
The Promoter cares for the environment and community. Please be respectful and place any litter in the bins provided around the venue. Be waste and water wise - thank you
You must be of legal age and conduct yourself in an orderly manner to enter licensed areas at the event venue. We reserve the right to evict patrons who disobey or break Responsible Service of alcohol legislation and law.
The festival is licensed – please do not bring alcohol with you - any found will be confiscated. Patrons wishing to consume alcohol must have photographic ID.
No food or drink will be permitted into the festival site. Empty water bottles can be brought in to fill up at the free water stations. Sealed plastic water bottles will be permitted to be brought into the event. The contents of any opened plastic water bottles will not be permitted into the venue
Anyone found supplying or buying alcohol for a minor will be evicted from the event and may face criminal charges.
Anyone found supplying or consuming illicit drugs will be evicted from the premises and may face criminal charges.
There will be no refund on any unused portion of tickets if you or your invitees are asked or forced to leave or if you decide not to attend any part of the event.
Marketing and Trade Signs
No trading or signs allowed on the Site without prior consent of the promoter.
Pursuant to your booking, we may need to collect and keep personal information about you including your name, address, credit card or payment details, telephone number and the names of all ticket allocations. Unless you tell us otherwise, we may disclose your contact details to third parties if you elect to receive such information at time of ticket purchase so they can provide you with promotional material about other events and products. We may also need to disclose your personal information as required by law or as permitted under the Privacy Act. Our Privacy Policy outlines how we will handle your personal information.

Refund and Cancellation Policy
Great Southern Blues Festival is an all weather event. The festival will take place rain, hail or shine.
All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be issued for events listed on this website unless the festival is cancelled.
In the case of an event cancellation, the patron will receive a full refund of the ticket price and of the industry imposed ticket charges. The Promoter will endeavour to provide the refund within 5 business days. Request for refunds must be made within 4 weeks of the cancellation of the festival.
You are responsible for checking the age minimum for the event. No refunds will be processed for patrons who are denied entry due to not having valid identification for admittance to an age restricted performance.
The Promoter reserves the right to add, withdraw or substitute artists, vary the advertised program, seating arrangements and audience capacity and deny admission with reasonable cause.
CAMPING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This ticket is sold by eMedia on behalf of Great Southern Festivals Pty Ltd (ABN 84 126 945 837) (“Promoter”) who is responsible for promoting and carrying out Great Southern Blues Festival (the “Event”). The following are the conditions that relate to camping at the Event. ‘You’ and ‘yours’ refers to the customer. ‘We’, ‘us’, ‘our’, ‘Great Southern Blues Festival’ and ‘Event organiser’ refers to the Promoter any of its employees, contractors, volunteers and authorised persons. By carrying out a purchase of a camping ticket/wrist band and/or entry and attendance at the camping site, you agree to the terms and conditions as set out below. This agreement means these terms and conditions and any other conditions specified by us on our website and booking information.
IMPORTANT: All of the terms and conditions that apply to the Event itself (including those provided to when you purchase a ticket or as shown on the Event website or at the Event site) also apply to the camping site; so please read those conditions in conjunction with the camping terms and conditions.
PURCHASING YOUR CAMPING TICKET
The camping ticket will allow you to camp for 3 nights/3 days from midday, Friday 29 September until midday, Monday 3 October 2011. A maximum of 4 camping sites per transaction is allowed provided that you have purchased a WEEKEND festival ticket. Purchasers of a 1 DAY/Single festival ticket will not be permitted to enter the camping area for any reason whatsoever.
Camping tickets are separate to the Great Southern Blues Festival event tickets. You will need two tickets; one to camp and one to gain entry to the festival. You will not be able to enter the camping area without being in possession of a valid WEEKEND festival ticket AND a valid camping ticket for each person.

The Promoter reserves the right to amend or vary the advertised camping configuration, capacity, the date of the Event (without prior notification) and deny admission to the camping area with reasonable cause. In the event of any such change, refunds will not be available.
Camping wristbands will be issued based on the number allowed for each site (i.e. if you purchase a 2 person campsite then you will be sent 2 (two) wristbands, if you purchase a 4 person campsite then you will be sent 4 (four) wristbands etc). You are not permitted to have more than the maximum number of occupants per site, but it is allowable to have less. For example, it will be fine to have only 2 occupants on a 4 person campsite.
No refunds will be offered for unused camping wristbands and there will be no refund on any unused portion of camping tickets if you or your invitees are asked or forced to leave for any of the reasons set out in these terms or conditions or set out in the Event terms and conditions or if you decide not to attend any part of the event.
If you wish to camp with friends then you will need to arrive with them at the same time as camp sites are allocated on a first in, first served basis.
Each camping ticket type (2 person campsite, 4 person campsite etc) has a designated area, so if you are arriving with a group of friends who have different camping ticket types you will not be able to camp in the same area.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Camping at the Site is subject to the Promoter obtaining approval from the local council. If such approval is not received by the Promoter then camping will not be permitted on the Site and the Promoter will refund the price of the camping ticket(s) purchased by you (subject to receipt of proof of purchase by the Promoter). In this circumstance, you acknowledge that you are only entitled to a refund of your camping ticket not a refund of your WEEKEND festival ticket.

SITE INFORMATION
On arrival, your person, possessions and motor vehicle may be searched for prohibited items including alcohol, glass, weapons, illegal substances or any item event organisers consider may be used in an illegal or offensive manner and may be confiscated. Refusal to consent to a search may prevent entry to the Event and/or the camping ground without refund. A list of prohibited items is outlined below.
Please have your camping and WEEKEND festival wristbands ready to present to festival staff on arrival. Your festival and camping wristbands must be worn at all times while you stay at the campgrounds between Friday 29 September and Monday 3 October 2011.
Do not share your festival wristband or camping information with anyone. The Promoter reserves the right to deny admission to the bearer of any ticket/wristband that appears to have been tampered with.
Those aged under 18 (minors), must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian aged over 25 years at all times (within reason) in the campground and festival entertainment area. A parent/guardian may accompany a maximum of 3 minors. Children aged 3 years and under are admitted free; those aged 4-14 years require a Junior Festival Ticket.
The campground is an ALCOHOL FREE ZONE. We ask that you do not consume alcohol within the campground and to please be aware of this policy and show respect to other Event patrons.
There will be NO POWERED SITES at the Festival.
Please come prepared for all weather; the Event and camping will proceed irrespective of weather conditions. No refunds will be made should a ticket-holder opt not to attend the Event due to inclement weather.

You agree to indemnify the Promoter and the owner or lessee of the venue against any loss or damage it may suffer arising out of your negligence or breach of these terms and conditions.
On departure of the campsite please make sure all your belongings, camping equipment and vehicles are removed.
Great Southern Blues Festival cares for the environment and community. Please be respectful and place any litter in the recycle or other bins provided around the venue. Be waste and water wise.
You must follow the reasonable directions of Event and camping staff as required.
Most importantly, please respect the site and your fellow campers! Any unruly behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in your removal from the site. Patrons will be removed from the site if they behave in a threatening or inappropriate manner (aggressive, riotous, abusive, or insulting actions) towards other patrons or event staff. 24 hour security will be on hand to ensure the safety and amenity of all campers.
LIMIT ON CAMPING ARRIVAL TIMES
In consideration of other patrons we ask that you do not arrive and set up your campsite between the hours of midnight and 6am as it will be disruptive to the camping grounds.
DISABLED ACCESSIBLE CAMPING SITES
If you wish to purchase a disabled access campsite please call eMedia on (02) 8405 7532 who will facilitate payment. No phone charge will be applicable.
CAMPING GATE SALES – subject to availability
PROHIBITED ITEMS (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
Please note that prohibited items may be confiscated so if in doubt, leave it at home.
- Glass of any kind
- Alcohol - any alcohol found on site will be confiscated and the offending patron(s) ejected from site for the remainder of the Event
- Offensive weapons, including potential missiles
- Illegal Substances
- Animals (Excluding working dogs such as guide dogs and police/emergency service dogs)
- Flares, fireworks or sparklers
- No drums are allowed in the camping area
- Fires and open flames of any kind
- BBQs
- Open fires are not permitted
- Sound systems – Sound systems are NOT allowed or welcome on the Site or in the campsite.
- Portable laser equipment and pens
- Couches
- Anything studded (i.e. belts, wristbands etc)
- Small still cameras are permitted but audio or video recording devices and professional still cameras are not
- Large eskies
- Skateboards, scooters, rollerblades or bicycles
- Any other item deemed to be dangerous or offensive by event organisers
The promoters reserve the right to refuse entry to any persons. Any persons found to be in possession of illegal items or partaking in illegal activities will be immediately referred to the police.
Patrons consent to be included in film and sound recordings of the Festival and for these recordings to be used by the event organiser or Promoter in any medium or context without further authorisation by, or compensation to, you.
REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
No refunds or exchanges will be issued if the Event is cancelled in its entirety due to a reason beyond the control of the Promoter. In such circumstances, the Promoter will not liable for any damage, compensation, loss or expenses resulting from the Event being cancelled, postponed, relocated or changed. If a refund is made by the Promoter the patron will receive a full refund of the ticket price and of the industry imposed ticket charges. The Promoter will endeavour to provide the refund within 5 business days. Request for refunds must be made within 4 weeks of the cancellation of the Event.
You are responsible for checking all event information and ensuring you have purchased the correct camping and festival tickets for the Event. No refunds will be processed for patrons who have made some error in connection with their ticket purchase.
Be sure to check the Event website (www.bluesfestival.tv) closer to the date for prohibited items and other entry guidelines.
